An obviously frustrated Lee speaks with Steve after conceding a 98th minute penalty in contentious circumstances. A fine performance saw Kai Brosnan make it 1-1 in a high tempo first half. The second half ran out of steam and a draw was on the cards until the referee's intervention in the dying moments.

    Cheshunt were a. Complete joke. They never played any football, then resorted to bullying tactics. All, off the ball. I'd love to have put my boots on again, because it's so easy to play against a side who chooses not to play football. I think Hendon won this. All that about Cheshunt was crap.

  • @charliemagri1669

    Results have been great, but it's got to be harder for any side to attack than defend, so no excuses for conceding goals. Players need to be switched on; making the right choices requires more than just ability, plus others need to anticipate what happens next and use that time to win the ball back. The question is: was there anything that could've prevented either goal? Being a defender is a tough role, where you just can't lose the ball, but you can also choose many things to prevent attackers from playing the way they want. Wrong choices were made in those Bognor goals.

    I think the penny has dropped, wirh both Hendon and Edgware. London has a brand of character, which is all about physical presence, pace and heart. Not forgetting ability. One touch football is great, but just too perfect, and gosls come grom sheer guts and personal effort. What did Holland ever win?

    😂Impressively culturally diverse that this rant wasn't delivered in a Govanish accent🔴⚪🔵🧡🐻🇬🇧🥁🧡🔴⚪🔵 Kris Boyd, Allan McGregor & Alan Hutton were better value last night after the Huns' laughable red card against Dinamo Kiev. Still, the club couldn't have picked a more "acceptably orthodox" opponent to lose to😂.

    I realise the management team have lots of pressures, and being a fan has nothing, but I don't want to hear that Hendon may fall short at Dulwich. Hendon have the best personalities- from the team to the staff and even the loyal fans are unique. The manager and Ian have always been genuine football people, and I have total respect for both. They both create a team to fit their own unique qualities. Dulwich need more than a large crowd; more money, and supposedly better team to win. They were all heroes on Saturday. Bowers played like Holland, but football is all about personalities which win games. Hendon have that, and I admire every one of them. If Hendon do lose, then the team slipped a bit, but Dulwich aren't loved like Hendon are. So glad to see the best players still at club. Those who left just never were the fan's favourites anyway. They will come back, because the Hendon fans are unique.

  • @charliemagri1669
    @charliemagri1669 16 днів тому

    More of a physical element to the performance, than the free flowing football which Hendon are more known by. Only criticism, was that players didn't seem to want to play as a team in first half, although they have time to gel. Basically, Hendon wore Bowers to a standstill, and the last 30 was brilliant to watch. Bowers did play Hendon off the park for an hour and missed glorious chances, but Hendon remained tough to a man, and pushed aside a seemingly exhausted side to deservedly win. Not a bad result, considering certain new players were not putting in the effort for their teammates. A masterstroke from the management team. You would expect more would turn up to watch the total football from Bowers, and the ability of Hendon to create a deserved win from a place miles away. Hendon are unpredictable, but players are always strong in personality and character. Hendon always find something positive, then build on that.

    Lee as a manager, and a comparison to Gareth Southgate, is that he has more of love for the club; much more love for the game, and a personal involvement with each player. Like the best, of Venables and Robson, Lee has a personality which inspires others to feel something magic. That's why I love Hendon.

    Lee Allinson as a manager: Played the game to a very high level, but communication is the key for a manager, and he's just somebody you never feel tired of listening to. He personable skills transfer to using his football coaching experience. Every successful manager had that. I hope he goes to National League, because managers there fail and just don't inspire.

    If that was true about how Mert was treated, then that is racist and so insulting. I believe Mert deserves a first team place, and his efforts against Wincester saved the game. This is disrespectful to his culture, and to Mert as a person. Football is supposed to be a game where everybody is an equal on the pitch. Life obviously does not convey those thoughts. How can Mert ever feel comfortable playing football here under these rules. He is a great player, with lots of presence and energy. He has an all round game, and unlike some, never gets pushed off the ball.

    Iam Allinson was one of the greatest players. If you were lucky to see him play, you saw courage, ability, but a football brain. He entertained. One thing he was, he was dependable. He is a legend. He played for the very best team in London, which must be short odds, even if you are a well known face. He did it.

    They are special. In football abilities and personalities. To watch and stand behind greatness- just a couple of yards away - has got to be better than watching Man Utd lose by 4 at Palace.

  • @charliemagri1669

    You could see it pre game, some players took this as a nothing game. The real match winners, are players like Dan and Joe- but the newish keeper showed the game plan that he does between the sticks. The rest are magnificent, but keep their best for the games which matter. They all won the points on board, so who can argue with them. They placed the team in a surprising position, so they are all Kings. Charlton had physically dominating players, who have a point to prove to progress to the pro game. They wouldn't be there, if not well drilled on how to keep possession. You can't expect an open game against them. The plus side, is that Hendon aren't academy players, so weren't out there to prove themselves as individuals. Just accept that the better team doesn't always win. Hendon bled, and have the wounds to show for the galiant way every point was won. No victory or draw came easily. I wouldn't expect these stars to have shown a regard, for a game which can never match the league or Vase heroics. I think the players know what they're doing.

    Hendon may have lost the Senior Cup final, but teams like that are built to keep possession, and basically play without any self expression. Any idiot can fit into that, and teams like Chesham and Gosport do the same. No joy in supporting clubs like that. They show no ambition or have personalities. They are robots. I don't believe the Hendon players were up for that battle.

  • @charliemagri1669

    The team are still improving, which is frightening, so if any choose to leave then that's a big mistake. The management and players are winners. No way can they lose that final. The team play explosive entertaining football. Certain sides are more consistent, because their style of play is to dominate possession, but it's robotic and those individuals are only effective as part of that team. Hendon's players are allowed to express themselves, and they can do things with the ball which is pure genius. Long may it continue. This team deserve better sponsorship, because it has the potential to go higher. Only investment can guarantee that.

    Make no doubt on this, Hendon owes more to management team of Lee and Ian Allinson than anybody else at Hendon. They both combine to know which players work, and the results have proved that. What goes on off the pitch definitely keeps this great club alive, but putting great players onto the pitch is a job with pressures and criticisms. This isn't just a Southern League club. It has ambitions. Many thanks to two great people. All their team selections gained points, and prevented a bottom 4 place.

  • @charliemagri1669
    @charliemagri1669 4 місяці тому

    Lee has stated that players may decide to move to other clubs who offer more money, but think about this. Hendon have the nicest people, and other clubs don't have personalities. Referring to the players. The great Ethan Light had to go to Banbury, but that was a backward step, and I'm sure he's too professional, so just took it on the chin. Dylan Berry is mentally more mature, but he was more like a 20 year old with maturity of 40. He will handle any situation he finds himself in very well, and prove an asset to any team. These Hendon players are playing great football, but they have to be around good people to enjoy their game. Apart from Harrow Borough and Beaconsfield, no other club exists such a fine team spirit.

  • @charliemagri1669
    @charliemagri1669 4 місяці тому

    Despite result, very impressed with Dartford's technique and tempo throughout. Their keeper was pure class. It could be argued, that Hendon knew the challenges ahead, but every man was excellent on the ball. Brosnan was obviously the better, but it was high quality throughout. 3,4,5 and 6 goals, needless to say, were outstanding, and made very good players appear lacking. Even then, Hendon missed so many chances! Hendon should win this final. They are all so good on the ball; express experience, and evidently a real team spirit. Dartford must wonder how they lost this. They were just beaten by a team which has achieved so much this year. They play like Brazil used to. That was when they had real characters. Hendon have them. Hope they stay together. Irreplaceable!

    I will be donating, and just 20 pounds from the average attendance would make at least 4500 in one hit. The whole club have proven themselves, on and off the pitch. Now, it's time the fans dug deep. A fantastic year, and for only 12 pounds a match. If Lee can't make this a success, then nobody could. It's now time to show your appreciation, for all the great football this year; a management team which made the many high moments possible; not forgetting, the welcoming volunteers, who are the first people visitors get to see on entering the ground. What a place Hendon is. Keep the best football club alive, and please donate something now.

    Lee is a great manager, although Ian done it all as a player and manager. A great player of his period, where he could turn possession into an attacking moment, still logged into the memory years later. Lee has the backing of Ian, but Lee's man management skills are the best. If Ian had those, he would've been Premier League. Good luck to both. Two guys you wouldn't want to mess with. Intellectually, wise.
